Terms of Service of SUK Member Hub
These terms of service are between you and SurrogacyUK.
These terms of service governs your acquisition and use of our SUK Member Hub software (“Software”) directly from SurrogacyUK or indirectly through a SurrogacyUK authorized distributor (a “Reseller”).
Please read thism agreement carefully before completing the installation process and using the SUK Member Hub software. It provides a license to use the SUK Member Hub software and contains warranty information and liability disclaimers.
By clicking “accept” or installing and/or using the SUK Member Hub software, you are confirming your acceptance of the Software and agreeing to become bound by the terms of this agreement.
This agreement shall apply only to the Software supplied by SurrogacyUK herewith regardless of whether other software is referred to or described herein. The terms also apply to any SurrogacyUK updates, supplements, Internet-based services, and support services for the Software, unless other terms accompany those items on delivery. If so, those terms apply.
License Grant
SurrogacyUK hereby grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the SUK Member Hub software on your devices in accordance with the terms of this agreement.
You are permitted to load the SUK Member Hub software (for example a PC, laptop, mobile or tablet) under your control. You are responsible for ensuring your device meets the minimum requirements of the SUK Member Hub software.
You are not permitted to:
Edit, alter, modify, adapt, translate or otherwise change the whole or any part of the Software nor permit the whole or any part of the Software to be combined with or become incorporated in any other software, nor decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Software or attempt to do any such things
Reproduce, copy, distribute, resell or otherwise use the Software for any commercial purpose
Allow any third party to use the Software on behalf of or for the benefit of any third party
Use the Software in any way which breaches any applicable local, national or international law
use the Software for any purpose that SurrogacyUK considers is a breach of this agreement
Intellectual Property and Ownership.
SurrogacyUK shall at all times retain ownership of the Software as originally downloaded by you and all subsequent downloads of the Software by you. The Software (and the copyright, and other intellectual property rights of whatever nature in the Software, including any modifications made thereto) are and shall remain the property of SurrogacyUK.
SurrogacyUK reserves the right to grant licences to use the Software to third parties.
Termination
This agreement is effective from the date you first use the Software and shall continue until terminated. You may terminate it at any time upon written notice to SurrogacyUK.
It will also terminate immediately if you fail to comply with any term of this agreement. Upon such termination, the licenses granted by this agreement will immediately terminate and you agree to stop all access and use of the Software. The provisions that by their nature continue and survive will survive any termination of this agreement.
Governing Law
This agreement, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with this agreement, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

What is Surrogacy UK?
Surrogacy UK is a leading volunteer-led, not-for-profit organisation that supports the creation of families and promotes altruistic surrogacy in the UK. Â It helps surrogates to meet intended parent(s); educates and advises people at all stages of their surrogacy journey; and, works with external stakeholders to improve the experiences and outcomes for surrogates, intended parent(s) and their families. Â Surrogacy UK operates through a legal entity called XYZ.
How we use your personal information
This purpose of this privacy notice is to explain how Surrogacy UK collects, manages, uses and looks after any personal information supplied to us or data created by us about you (which we will collectively refer to as “dataâ€).  This includes any data that you provided directly to us, that you have requested from third parties or data that we have created about you as part of our application process or to meet your on-going membership requirements.

How do we collect and create your data?
Usually your data is collected from you directly or from a third party you have requested data from.  Normally your data is provided in the documents, communications and images listed below. Additionally, we may create data about you in the commentary listed below.

How long do we keep your data?
Non-Member
As a non-member we will retain your data for five years. Â If your online account is inactive for three years it will be suspended.
If you apply to become a member of Surrogacy UK and this application is unsuccessful or withdrawn by you then the associated data will be retained for three years.
Members
As a member we will retain your data as long as your membership status falls in to the following categories.
If you become a non-member after being a member then all your data will be removed after five years, except your online message board posts, which will be removed after ten years.
How to get a copy of your data
You can request a copy of the data we hold about you by completing the following Subject Access Request Form:

All paper copies are destroyed and kept on file within our secure document share.
Letting us know if your data is incorrect
You have the right to ask us to rectify any errors in your data. Â If you feel that any of your data is incorrect, do let us know so we can look into it.
What if you want us to stop using your data?
You have the right to object to our use of your data or to ask us to delete or stop using it. This is known as the ‘right to object’ and ‘right to erasure’, or the ‘right to be forgotten’.  There may be legal or other official reasons why we need to keep or use your data. If this situation occurs, then we will explain and discuss the circumstances with you.
We may sometimes be able to restrict the use of your data as an alternative to deleting it. This means that it can only be used for certain things, such as legal claims or to exercise legal rights. In this situation, we would not use or share your information in other ways while it is restricted.
You can ask us to restrict the use of your data if it is not accurate.

Changes to this Policy
This policy was last updated in May 2018. Â Over time we may make changes to this policy and you will always be able to see in this section when it was last updated. Â If we make significant changes then we will publicise these to our members and may communicate with you directly regarding them.

Our cookies do not store financial information, or information which is capable of directly identifying you (such as your name or address). Cookies simply allow our website to retrieve this information in order to personalise and improve your experience of our website.
